How much does it cost to send a square envelope?

Answer

Mailing an odd sized letter may add what is called a non machinable surcharge to the price. Generally the cost to send a square envelope requires the sender to pay for single standard postage stamp plus an additional 20 cents per envelope. As of 2013, the single stamp is 46 cents per letter, which would total 66 cents per square envelope after the addition of the surcharge. The special sizes cost more in postage due to additional processing.
