How to Address a Letter to an Unknown Recipient?

Answer

It is usually best to find out who is getting a piece of mail before sending it out. Unfortunately this is not always possible as sometimes things have to be sent to departments or just in general to a company. There are often departments who will handle different situations and it is important to go through the proper channels. Typically, if something has to be sent to an address without a specific name, there is a department name or number to put in its place. Sometimes there is nothing so the name of the company is acceptable to put down.
