The first thing is to obtain a standard that is white in color and has a known Reflectance. With this and a radiance meter the irradiance can be calculated. Place the reflective plate at a perpendicular angle to the optical axis. Place the Luminance meter approximately 45 degrees between the optical axis and the reflective panel. The irradiance can then be calculated from the Luminance. Pi multiplied by the Luminance multiplied by Omega of 1 and all divided by the reflectance index of the reflectance board.
