To install a fax machine, you can use either a dedicated line or shared line. Which means the fax and phone share the same line. Share line connection: connect the phone cord from the fax machine to the wall jack and connect the cord from the phone to the fax machine. Do not set to auto answer, otherwise all call will be routed to the fax machine.
