To make sporrans, cut out 2 pieces of fabric. One should be a circle that is 20 cms in diameter. The other should be an oval that's 30 cms long and 20 cms wide. Sew the circle to one side of the oval, with the curves aligned. Only sew where the edges meet to leave an opening at the top. Turn the pouch you've made inside out. Sew one part of the metal clasp so as to the free end of the oval then sew the other part of the clasp to the main body of the sporran. Sew the tassels to the front of the bag then sew the centre of the piece of string to the back of the bag.
