How to Sew Cording on a Pillow?

Answer

To sew cording on a pillow you will have to do it by hand. Cut a little more than enough cording to go around the whole pillow. Don't start on a corner, start near the corner and attach the cording to the pillow with a stitch. Continue sewing a blind stitch though the seam of the pillow and back out to the cording. Keep the stitches small and compact and sew a tight even seam. When you get to the end, be sure to cut the cording so it isn't short and there is enough to attach the ends of the cording together. Use the threaded needle to attach the cording at the ends to form a finished look.

Measure all four sided of the pillow against the cording, allow 2 inches of cording extra. Cut the cording into strips (2') and bast ( hand sew) them onto the pillow first.
Next, start in the middle of the pillow and begin sewing on with the sewing machine, leaving 1/2' to 3/4' of cording not sewn. Easy as pie! For more information see here: ;
