Lexapro is not an MAOI drug. In fact Lexapro is an anti-depressant in the class of drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors or SSRIs. You can not mix Lexapro with MAOIs. If you stop taking Lexapro, you must wait 14 days before taking an MAOI drug.
