What are some sources of lipids?

Answer

According to Fitday, lipids are simply fats and can be obtained from eating fatty foods. There are many types of lipids, some of which have more health benefits than others. Some examples of lipid-rich foods include meats, oils, butter, nuts, eggs and avocados.

The risk factor for many diseases is increased by ingesting too much fat, accordign to Fitday. Cholesterol is one form of fat which can cause heart and vascular disease when consumed in excess. Healthy and essential fats include phytosterols, omega-3 and omega-6, which should be consumed regularly. These are mostly found in vegetables and fish and help to regulate fertility, blood clotting and blood pressure.
