There are very few substitutes for liquid glucose. This type of ingredient is usually added in recipes for 2 different reasons. One of the most common reasons is for use by diabetics in order to raise their blood sugar when it is too low. Generally, this type of ingredient is added to baked goods, for things such as frostings, jellies, frozen desserts and candies. Generally, individuals can use light corn syrup or golden syrup as substitutes for this ingredient.
