Candida vulvitis is a fungus that affects the vulva area that usually causes a vaginal yeast infection. Untreated yeast infections can lead to a condition called vaginitis and if the condition persists longer and the levels of yeast rise in the body it can also affect the external genitalia. There are several symptoms to alert the body of a severe yeast infection. You may start to have itching and pain within the vulva area and/or white patches on the vulva.
