Types of Starches?

Answer

There are two different types of molecules that make up starches. These are amylose and amylopectin. Both of these molecules are made up of glucose molecules. The way the molecules are arranged is the basic difference between the two. For example, amylopectin has branches like a tree while amylose is basically linear. Starch is produced by all plants and is used as an energy store. It can be found in foods such as potatoes, wheat, corn, and rice.
