What Happened after the American Revolution?

Answer

After the American Revolution this country had no president. The states were basically all on their own and used different money, different laws, separate armies, etc. Thirteen people made up the executive branch (one from each state), but they had problems starting any kind of army because the states would not lend their armies out. There was also a very big problem paying back the national debt after the war. All of these problems were solved when the Constitution was written.
