What Sound Does an Ostrich Make?

Answer

The ostrich is a flightless bird that, much like the emu, has to run to catch its prey. The ostrich is unique among animals in that it has a pouch in its throat that creates sound rather than the normal vocal cords. The closest way to imagine how these animals sound is to imagine a deep booming sound that is percussive.
