The hustle dance emanated from Van McCoy who pushed for the masses to ' Do the hustle' as his music was suggesting and with time, the dance was adopted; this dance was a mix of swing and Latin. The chicken dance involved the crowd shaking their limbs in the manner in which chickens would shake their wings and legs.
