What Does It Take to Become a Detective?


Becoming a detective isn't as easy as it looks on TV. Most law enforcement agencies only require a high school diploma or a GED, but if you want to move up in the ranks, then it is better to have at least a two year degree. Once you get hired by an agency you can apply for a detectives position. Officers who excel at the job and go above and beyond the duties of their job should do well to get picked for these positions.
