What Are the Disadvantage and Advantage of Federalism?

Answer

The advantages of federalism include a uniform currency system easy to maintain, powerful military, powerful trade agreements and uniform immigration laws. So in a sense, federalism increases the harmony between states. The disadvantages are that the states loose their individual identity and federal interests are generally more important than the local ones.
