What were the accomplishments of Hernando Cortes?


Hernando was born in 1485-December 2, 1547 in Medellin, Extremadura, Spain. In 1502 Cortes was learnt and heard of stories about the New World and chose to leave Spain and link to the voyage to the West Indies. This assignment was led by Nicolas de Ovando associated with Diego Velazquez. Ovando's voyage achieved the goal to Hispaniola, where Hernando proved to be a prevalent source under the command of Quintero, who was also his tutor during this time.
