Alligator Top Speed?

Answer

Different sources place the top speed of an alligator between 20 and 30 miles per hour on land. Importantly, alligators cannot sustain their top speed for very long. They run in short bursts to catch prey and to evade danger. The bursts usually carry them about 15 yards or less.
