What Is the Best Antibiotic Cream for Burns?

Answer

After washing the burned area with a sterile saline solution, topical ointments such as silver sulfadiazine cream or triple antibiotic ointment are good for applying to the wounds. These should be done prior to bandaging with non-adherent dressings/bandages. The wounds should be cleaned at least twice a day, and fresh applications of antibiotic creams and dressings need to be done.
