What Does the 5 Point Blood Star Stand for?

Answer

The number 5 has become of significance to the Bloods. This may be because the name Blood has five letters. I have found little agreement as to what each of the five points represent, but the gang tattoos often depict a red star with the number 5 in the center. The iconography of a five pointed star goes back to the pentangle in the middle ages. Whether this is connected, intentionally or coincidentally, I do not know.
