The movie "Troy" tells the story of the war that breaks out between Troy and Sparta after the Queen of Sparta is stolen by the Prince of Troy. It was loosely based on the epic poem "The Iliad" by Homer.

"Troy" was released in 2004 and stars Brad Pitt as the famed warrior Achilles; Orlando Bloom as the Prince of Troy; Diane Kruger as Helen, Queen of Sparta and Brendan Gleeson as King Menelaus.
