Can you use a volt gauge in the place of a ampmeter gauge?

Answer

You can use a volt gauge in place of an amp meter. Most people, myself included prefer the volt meter or even a combo gauge that has both. The main thing to remember based on my knowledge is that they measure different things and when replacing use the proper wire for a volt gauge and don't just move the wires from the amp meter to the volt gauge.
