Cause of Engine Misfires?

Answer

Engine misfires are commonly caused by a spark plug problem. Spark plugs fire to create engine combustion which powers the car and allows movement. If an error occurs with the spark plug it will begin to misfire. This error can be a worn spark plug or the presence of an external element in the well where the spark plug sits. For example, if moisture was allowed to enter the spark plug well when it was installed, this can cause a misfire. Oil leakage into the well due to a worn seal can cause misfires as well.
