A full computer history timeline would probably include such inventions as the abacus in 2400 BC, a calculating clock in 1623, and the IBM company's creation in June of the year 1911. Some more facts on the computer timeline include seeing Bell Labs putting out their own transistor computer in 1955, magnetic tape coming about in 1978, and by the year 1979, more than 500,000 computers were being used in the United States of America alone.
