# Converting Amps to KWH?

Amps or amperes cannot be directly converted into KWH or kilowatt hours because they measure different things. Amps measure the intensity of electricity, while kilowatt hours measure the amount of electricity consumed over an hour. The watts or voltage must also be known to further complete the conversion.
