Corporate ID Number?

Answer

A corporate ID number is the number issued to a company at the time it incorporates under a state's corporation commission, and is issued a certificate of authority to transact business within that state. Each corporation also must have an employer identification number, known as an EIN. This federal tax identification number is often referred to as the corporate ID number. A federal EIN is required for all corporations. It is a nine-digit number that is assigned to only one corporation. The EIN is used in all banking and taxation transactions.
