What Is the Current Macroeconomic Situation in the United States?

Answer

The current macroeconomic situation in the United States in January 2013 seems to be improving, when compared with the previous few years. Housing sales, low mortgage and other credit rates, and a growing demand for autos and other large purchases all point to continued steady growth. The biggest threats seem to be Washington legislators, who may push for too steep tax increases or spending cuts.
