Dark Cuticles?

Answer

Dark cuticles can be an indication of a fungal infection. In most cases, this can lead to other health issues. Once the color of the cuticle begins to change, it may lead to the cracking and peeling of the actual nail, which is a direct indication of damage to the nail bed and can lead to more damage. Once an individual realizes that their cuticles are discolored, or becoming discolored, they are advised to contact their local dermatologist. Individuals may also get the proper information for treatments from their personal physician, who should be able to refer them to the proper doctor.
