The Victorians had clocks and it is said that they re-invented time. The clock was made by Dent & Co, a company which was established by Edward J. Den in 1814. They manufactured a Standard Clock to keep track of GMT which was later replaced by electronic clock in 1946. The company is also responsible for making the 'Big Ben' Clock.
