Difference between Verbal and Nonverbal Communication?

Answer

Verbal and noverbal communication are both methods of interaction. The main difference between the two lies in the medium the message is conveyed. With verbal communication, words are used to exchange information. This can be in person or by telephone. On the other hand, nonverbal communication is mostly visually. With nonverbal communication, no spoken words are used. Examples of nonverbal communication includes gestures, pitch, and eye contact. With written text, the style of handwriting, layout of the page, or arrangement of words can be underlying nonverbal cues.
