It depends on the type of plant as to whether it would grow better in artificial light or in sunlight. Some plants require the UV radiation that is sunlight in order to grow and thrive. However, if the artificial lighting has the same spectrum of electromagnetic radiation as sunlight, you can expect plants to behave the same way.
