Do Tarantulas Hibernate?

Tarantulas do hibernate since they are poikilothermic. During cold weather these tarantulas plug the openings of their burrows with soil and debris, and go into a state of torpor. They produce virtually none of their own body heat and do nothing to control their temperatures while in a state of torpor.
