Do you need a visa to go to Jamaica?


A visa is not required for U.S. citizens to visit Jamaica as tourists or for business for a period up to 6 months, according to the U.S. Jamaican Embassy. A visa is necessary for longer trips.

To enter Jamaica, U.S. citizens need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months, a ticket back to the United States and money to support themselves and any dependents for the length of their stay. In addition, every visitor must not have any mental health problems contraindicating entry into the country, not have been sentenced for an extraditable crime and not be the subject of a deportation order or landing prohibition for Jamaica.
