Edible Roots?

Answer

Many different types of edible tubers are available in most every grocery store. Most people have a general idea of what an edible root is, most have had at least a sampling of many types. A few varieties that can be found include ginger, jicama, parsley, parsnip, carrot, radish, rutabaga, yams, cush cush, sweet potato, malanga, and taro. Many can be eaten right fresh from the ground while others taste best after they have been roasted or stewed.
