EPA 608 Certification Test Questions?

Answer

In order for any company to be given certification by the EPA under section 608, which falls under the ozone layer protection regulation program, they must first submit to an inspection and answer some test questions that will identify compliance or need for regulatory control and monitoring. Section 608 regulations include defining high and low refrigerants, verifying and identifying system-dependent vs. self-contained recycling equipment, identification of all air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment containing CFCs or HCFs, or any other equipment covered by the rule, and meeting the standard for reclaimed refrigerants such as ARI 700. They will also require third-party recertification of recycling and recovery equipment that was manufactured after November 15, 1993. Section 608 of the EPA certification test falls under Core Information.
