There are many types of heat sources in the year 2013. Coal is one source of heat, coal is burned in a boiler to generate electricity that in return makes heat. Natural gas, solar power, the sun, water, earth, windmills, kerosene, wood, charcoal, and other fuels are all examples of heat sources. Some other heat sources are toasters, ovens, fireplaces, matches and even irons produce heat. Of course, the most natural form of heat will always be the sun.
