Examples of Price Fixing?

Answer

Price fixing is a verbal or written agreement between two or more producers of a certain commodity to charge the same price or to maintain the price level by controlling the supply and demand. Examples of price fixing include the Roche 1973 price fixing scam in the international vitamin market; Roche also participated in another price-fixing scam from 1990 through 1999. A second example from the 1950's is General Electric and Westinghouse's price fixing on heavy equipment. British dairies were found guilty of price fixing from 2002 through 2007. Another example of price fixing was discovered in 2007 and it involved flat glass pricing among European Union major glass manufacturers.
