What are Examples of Scapegoats?

Answer

A scapegoat is someone who is blamed for something even though there are other people involved. An example of scapegoating was California's former governor (Arnold Schwarnegger) blaming teachers and nurses for some of that state's financial woes. Another example is blaming a current president for prior presidential blunders. Hitler used the Jewish population in Germany as a scapegoat in order to fuel his dream of world domination. Many Americans scapegoat illegal immigrants for the lack of jobs for the American people, when the truth is that the American people don't want to take the low paid jobs.
