Examples of social issues?

Answer

Social issues are issues that face the population of a certain society. Some examples of major social issues often debated in the United States are abortion, gun control, capital punishment, illegal immigration, gay rights, and environmental pollution. Others include legalizing prostitution and marijuana, human trafficking, prayer in schools, pornography, smoking, teen pregnancy, steroid use in sports, and birth control. In politics, social issues are usually separate from economic issues such as taxes, though some of the topics may overlap.
