What are some examples of unicellular organisms?

Answer

Unicellular organisms are also known as one-celled organisms or single-celled organisms. They differ from other organisms in that they do not have a nucleus and they are made up of one cell. This one cell does everything, whereas in multiple-celled organisms cells have developed specialties. Examples of unicellular organisms include amoebas, bacterium (also known as bacteria), paramecium, volvox, protozoa, spirogyra, euglena, animalcule, diatoms, prokaryotes, archaea, xenophyophores, and yeast. One of the largest single celled organisms ever found was in October 2011 in the Mariana Trench, 6 miles below the ocean's surface.
