Famous Martyrs?

Answer

Martyrs are people or groups of people that have been killed, normally by themselves, in the name of religion. Stephen was one of the first Christian martyrs besides Jesus. Andrew was one of Christ's first disciples, and he was also crucified on a cross. Simon Peter was killed in Rome under Nero's reign. Polycarp was sentenced to burn because he refused to burn incense. Wycliffe died for standing against the authority of Papal. All of these men died in the name of their God.
