Foods They Eat in Mali?

Answer

Rice, millet, sorghum, and fonio (a fine grain cereal) are the staple foods they eat in Mali. Those are served with sauces of fish, meat or vegetables. Grains are used to make porridge by sometimes combining them with sweet milk. Juice made from hibiscus, ginger or the fruit of the baobab tree is called djablani and is a specialty drink made locally. Alcohol is not prohibited yet some Malians will drink millet beer. Koala nuts are used as a mild stimulant and are often used as gifts, a sign of respect, or to welcome a new person.
