# Formula for a Round Robin Tournament?

A round robin tournament is one where all of the entrants and/or contestants will all face each other at some point in the competition. In a single round robin tournament, each contestant will face every other contestant once before moving on to the next round. They best formula for setting up these round robin match ups would be to find the total number of participants and divide it into two equal groups. Then, match up pairs of contestants to compete with each other within each group until each unit is represented by one finalist. That finalist will play the finalist from the second group for an overall winner. This is much like it is done within the NCAA college basketball March Madness tournament each year.
