Frida Kahlo paintings have several different meanings. In her painting My Birth, she painted about how she imagined she was born. All of her paintings were about her and her life. Her painting Diego and I, was painted when her husband was having an affair. Frida's work did not become popular until 50 years after her death. Her artwork was painted between 1933 and 1949. She was born in Coyoacan, Mexico on July 6, 1907 and died on July 13, 1954 at the age of 47. She had no official training in painting but was self-taught.
