German Passport Renewal?

Answer

All German passports must be renewed by the renewal date of 10 years after issuance. The passport can be renewed by visiting a local municipal office. New photos are taken and any information is updated every 10 years. Persons under the age of 24 must renew their passport every six years. Children in Germany have a special looking passport which helps to identify it from adult issued passports. Passports also contain an embedded smart card chip.
