Government WG Pay Scale?

Answer

The Federal WG Pay Scale is now known as the General Schedule in the Federal Wage System. It consists of 15 grades depending upon work difficulty, qualifications, and responsibility. There is also an intermediate salary range of ten steps within the grade. Once a worker is in a grade, they must climb through the steps by showing they are working at the next acceptable step. When you advance to the next highest step within a grade, this is called Within Grade Increase.
