Who is Harris Faulkner?

Harris Faulkner is a weekend anchor and weekday personality on the Fox cable news network as of 2014. Prior to her current role, she presented Fox News Live updates during weekday prime-time shows.

Faulkner was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and earned a degree in business economics and mass communication at the University of California Santa Barbara. She soon found a position writing business news at the L.A. Weekly, and then was offered a job at a local Los Angeles news station, according to Woman Around Town. During her career at small local stations, she earned six Emmy Awards for local news broadcasting and wrote a book about her success as an African-American newswoman.

Her work on the syndicated Fox show "A Current Affair" caught the eye of Fox news head Roger Ailes, who promptly hired her. Her work at Fox includes the weekend news program "Fox Report Weekend," fill-in work for Shepherd Smith's weekday program "The Fox Report" and a spot on the Fox daytime show "Outnumbered." She is often tapped to cover news that appeals to African-Americans as well, though that is far from her only news coverage role at the network. She is married to Tony Berlin, a newscaster she met earlier in her career. They have two daughters, Bella and Danika.
