Turbo C is a programming language that was developed in the early 1980s. Borland Software Company designed the language and introduced it in 1987. Some of the attributes of Turbo C were that it had a fast compilation speed, comprehensive manuals, and was generally inexpensive. At first, Turbo C was not as successful as Turbo Pascal, but continued to develop and was re-released through 1992 as Turbo C++ 3.0. In 2006, Turbo C was released as freeware.
