Honing is a cleansing process that uses an abrasive to give metal a shining look. When honing a cylinder, choose a perfectly sized horning tool, considerably one with a rotational speed of between 1,200 and 1,600 rpm. Apply a horning lubricant on a honing tool and run it through the cylinder till its clear. Wash the cylinder with warm soapy water and dry it with a cotton cloth. Apply some engine oil to avoid rusting.
