How can I Get Out of a CO Signing Agreement?

Answer

Most of the time you can't get out of a cosigning agreement. Most lenders wanted a cosigner for a reason and they aren't going to let the responsible person off the hook. If you can find someone else to co sign you may have some luck. If the person you co signed for can pay off the item in one lump sum then you are also off the hook as there no longer is a loan. If the borrower now has good enough credit they can also try to get a loan in their own name to pay off the loan co signed for.
